Jess joined Valiant in 2015 with over 15 years of evolving cybersecurity and program management experience in both the public and private sectors, with special emphasis on governance, risk, and compliance. She has a unique background supporting federal agencies as a program manager responsible for small and large project teams and as the Chief Information Security Officer for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
Prior to NCUA, Jess built a cybersecurity consulting practice for a small business. Her team was dedicated to modernizing technology while focusing on adoption of security solutions from project inception. She served as the Deputy Program Manager for the Information Assurance contract with the Defense Health Agency and effectively managed a 70-person team, distributed throughout the U.S. The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium recognized Jess’s excellence and contributions to information assurance and IT governance through annual invitations to develop future certification standards and examination materials at their headquarters in Florida.
Jess earned a BS in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University and holds active Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information System Security Professional, Certified Authorization Professional, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library credentials to strengthen her capabilities as an Information Assurance and Governance leader in the federal sector.
